The Merevale 26TI Consistory meeting held on Friday, 20 March, was honoured by an outstanding turnout from the Province of Midland Counties. The occasion marked the Installation of Companion Jon Castel, and the presence of distinguished guests added a great sense of importance and dignity to the proceedings. Right at the forefront was the Provincial Grand Summus, R. Dist. Comp. Graham Holden, V., accompanied by the Deputy Provincial Grand Summus, V. Dist. Comp. Trevor L. Cavill. They were joined by a strong delegation of Grand and Provincial Officers, all of whom made their presence clearly felt throughout the evening.

The installation ceremony itself was conducted with great care and precision, reflecting the high standards of ritual expected on such an important occasion. Companion Jon received an exceptional and memorable ceremony, one that will no doubt remain with him for many years to come. The atmosphere during the proceedings was both respectful and uplifting, highlighting the unity and dedication of all those present.

A key part of the evening was the Preparation ceremony, during which five Companion underwent the procedure. The Grand Officers were in excellent form, carrying out their roles with confidence and authority. Their presence added considerable weight and significance to the ceremony, enhancing the overall experience for everyone involved.

Following the formal proceedings, the Consistory moved on to a lively festive board. This provided a wonderful opportunity for Brethren to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The evening was filled with laughter, good conversation, and excellent food, rounding off what was truly a memorable and successful occasion for all in attendance.
