Wolverhampton Masonic Centre closured Earlier This Year
Following the closure of Wolverhampton Masonic Centre earlier this year, the meeting of Provincial Grand Senatus relocated to the Masonic Hall Ashfield House, 218 Ashby Road, Burton On Trent, DE15, on Wednesday 11th October 2023.
The temple was virtually full and around 85 people stayed to enjoy the Festive Board.
The Provincial Grand Summus R.Dist.Comp. Graham Holden, V, presided and opened the meeting at 11.00 and welcomed the members of Midland Counties together with visitors from 17 other Provinces. The Companions were also honoured by the presence of the Deputy Grand Summus, R.Dist.Comp. Francis C. Spencer.
Following the initial items of business, the Provincial Grand Summus R.Dist.Comp. Graham Holden announced the re- appointment of V.Dist.Comp. Trevor L. Cavill, PGReg as his Deputy Provincial Grand Summus, and Dist.Comp. Kenneth I. Walchester, PGSwdB as Assistant Provincial Grand Summus.
Following these re-appointments, it was time to appoint and invest the Provincial Grand Officers of the year and, following further items of business, the Grand Summus took the opportunity to address Grand Senatus. He highlighted the growth of the Order, now at its largest membership number ever, and the importance of the Companions continuing their activity in the Order of the Secret Monitor to seek out new members for our Order.
The meeting of Provincial Grand Senatus for 2024
will again be held at the Masonic Hall Ashfield House, 218 Ashby Road, Burton On Trent, DE15 0LA, on Wednesday 9th October 2024.
